Various online portals are available for this, where anyone with the necessary money will find what they're looking for and can steer their dream yacht into the harbor of their dream oasis. A new 26-foot (8-meter) yacht, by contrast, is somewhat more expensive. The purchase price for a new yacht is $66,000 in Germany. The cost of a yacht rises even higher with every additional meter of boat length. For a 66-foot (20-meter) yacht, every additional meter costs $1.1 million.

Running Costs of a Yacht

The running costs of a yacht should not be underestimated and should be calculated carefully before purchase. The estimate is 10% of the purchase cost per year. The various cost items involved in maintaining a yacht are not to be sneezed at. The cost calculation consists of: insurance, fuel costs, berthing costs and maintenance costs. That can add up to quite a sum. These costs here are, for example, between $440 and $990 million (depending on the luxury yacht).
