Luxury Yacht Charter Mediterranean | Fancy a Luxury Boat?

It is the ultimate form of luxury vacation. Hollywood stars, music icons, business tycoons, oligarchs, royals, millionaires and billionaires - they all have one thing in common: in summer they flock to the Mediterranean on their luxury yachts. In their floating palaces they glide across the crystal-clear, azure water - or rather, they let themselves be taken across it. A sizable crew is simply part of good form in yacht society. Besides the captain and his assistants, there is staff who clean, cook, serve and anticipate every wish of the pampered boat people.
Sounds like a dream reserved for the super-rich? Not necessarily! In theory, anyone can charter a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean. Many of the water-loving superstars don't own their yachts themselves. They, too, rely on chartering a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean.
Why Charter a Luxury Yacht in the Mediterranean?

There are good reasons for a yacht vacation on, or rather out on, the Mediterranean, as many as there are grains of sand on the beach. Already with the destination - or rather the starting point for your dream vacation - you are spoiled for choice. Think of the French Riviera, Monaco, Italy, Croatia, Sardinia, Spain and Greece. This is where most superyachts with large crews are concentrated, and where you will also find a wealth of interesting places and cultures to discover and explore on your shore excursions. The Mediterranean simply has it all. The region spans a great variety of countries, cultural landscapes and experiences.
The most popular destinations for a yacht vacation in the Mediterranean are:
- the French Côte d’Azur
- the Italian Riviera
- the Balearic Islands (Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera, Menorca)
- the Greek islands
- the Turkish Riviera
- the Croatian coast and its many (partly uninhabited) offshore islands
The fantastic thing, though, is that they are all relatively close to one another, so you can easily put together comfortable, varied and exciting itineraries. On top of that, yachting infrastructure in Europe is unrivaled. There are dozens of beautiful marinas with stunning private superyachts and megayachts available for charter, plus all the shops, restaurants, bars and amenities you could imagine. Thanks to its popularity, the Mediterranean offers an incredible selection of charter boats, both motor and sailing yachts, including the increasingly common large private luxury yacht charters in the Mediterranean.

How Much Does It Cost to Charter a Luxury Yacht in the Mediterranean?
Prices for chartering a yacht in the Mediterranean vary depending on the size, style and age of the yacht. Most luxury superyachts and charter yachts cost between $33,000 and over $1,100,000 per week, plus expenses in the form of an Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA). Smaller all-inclusive vacations, by contrast, cost between $16,500 and $55,000 per week.
Timing and Weather: The Yacht Season in the Mediterranean
The yacht charter season in the Mediterranean usually runs from April to the end of October. During the peak charter season in July and August, the climate is warm and sunny and the winds tend to be light. The advantage of a yacht vacation is obvious: this is peak season for tourism as a whole. In your floating luxury retreat, you can easily steer clear of the tourists on shore. The weather can still be very good in the off-season, too.
Tip: The off-season offers lower prices and a bigger selection
Another good time to charter a yacht in the Mediterranean is usually one of the shoulder seasons, April to May and September to October. These periods fall right before and after the main summer season, when temperatures are still pleasant. September, for example, is an underrated time of year, as the weather is usually good (not too hot) while the sea is at its warmest, ideal for swimming.
Another advantage: At this time there is a wider choice of berths and anchorages in the harbors, and the tourists on shore are no longer as numerous. Since demand outside the main season is lower, rental prices for both the boat itself and the berth are also usually considerably lower. After all, who says you can't keep an eye on the price a little when chartering a luxury yacht?
